Rigging divider WHITE FILLED CLOTH

We’re often asked here at Cover It Up to work with the design team to create projection surfaces. The VT or image needing to fit in really odd spaces, or indeed the sheer scale of the dimensions required are far too expensive for LED technology.

We’ve found that filled cloth works very well in this application. White filled cloth is a solid white fabric with a soft 'waffle' textured surface. This material also stretches well, so is ideal for crease-free cycs and we’ve also seen the surface follow the contours of set pieces. We have stock cloths on the shelf, some exceptionally large, and our machinists create bespoke items on a regular basis.

Anita Roddick farewell
The organic nature, fluidity and luminescent property of the the fabric made the white filled cloth the only choice to project live VT, camera and graphics at a width of over 25m. A fraction of the trucking or rigging required for an LED screen equivalent and infinitely more cost effective, a great artistic and logistical solution to large format projection.

Brand New Wembley Arena
When production manager Neil Mcdonald asked for an 80’ wide plus which would work well as a lighting backdrop last we had the perfect solution. An 80’ x 30’ white filled cloth backdrop had exactly the right properties to work for lighting and production at this spectacular show in Wembley.
